Announcing ThunderBrowse 3.2.6.2

Friday, August 7th, 2009

ThunderBrowse 3.2.6.2 contains several new fixes that keep ThunderBrowse compatible to the most recent nightly (Thunderbird 3.0b4pre). It also adds Postbox support.

But the most substantial change is the new click engine.

What that means is that it captures data WAY better than the old version does. Remember those few links that you would click and nothing would happen? That’s fixed with this new engine. There is a bunch of new checks in place to make sure that Thunderbird won’t end up launching a link in two browsers.

onClick has been upgraded, the context menu click finding has been improved and so much more. We no longer have problems with the limited old engine, as this new one handles everything.

However, there is a slight problem:

I can’t test it on every website to make sure it works. In my tests, almost all websites passed. If you check the comments part of the error log, you’ll see the new engine at work. Even with all my tests, there is always the problem that something went wrong. If a website is not working for you (and it’s not https and not powered by plugins) please let me know.
