Update again

Wednesday, July 13th, 2011

So some people have reported that there are some issues with 3.7, which is great because AMO has not pushed out the new version, which gives me a bit of time to fix the problem.

From what I hear, there’s an issue loading new messages, which is something I am unable to reproduce on my dev machine. If you are currently running into that problem, please open Tools < Error Console and look at the Error tab.

Please either send me an email or reply to this post with a comment with the error message that appears. Thanks much!

Announcing ThunderBrowse 3.7

Friday, July 8th, 2011

Man, check out that statusbar.

Fixed it. I’d like to thank Mark for the tip.

Here’s the change log:

  • Fixed all compatibility issues with the new addon manager
  • Fixed the malformed statusbar
  • Fixed unknown about:addons bug
  • Fixed XUL buttons being interpreted as forms

In other news, I’m considering dropping the in app changelog and the ThunderBrowse new page as they are a chore to update. Does anyone use these? If there is a lot of usage for them, I’ll keep them in.

I’ll be uploading this soon.

Cheers!

Update update

Tuesday, July 5th, 2011

So I thought I was going to have time this weekend to fix the problems with the statusbar.

HA HA HA. I ended up running into some problems with some of my other work and that’s kept me from working on ThunderBrowse past the fixes I’ve already made. Unfortunately, I have quite a few deadlines this week, with the last one ending on Thursday night/Friday morning. I’ll try to work on a fix on Friday, but that’s only if something critical doesn’t come up (which I don’t anticipate, but I’m planning for anyways).

And just my luck, one of my dev machines is having power issues, which is almost perfect timing. I will be down a machine soon. Can’t wait to go back to Vista and the land of non-updated software (joke about how I don’t use my desktop anymore).

Anyways, so there’s your update. Sorry to disappoint, but my other work needs to get done first.

Thunderbird 5 Support

Okay, so tonight I opened up Thunderbird 5. It looks nice. I got ThunderBrowse mostly working. The downside is that the status bar randomly freaks out and I haven’t figured out why exactly that happens.
